The Battlefield Guide to Life is a book that drew upon my experiences while visiting sites of military history across the world. The lessons were always there to be learned, and I hope that I’ve captured them in a way that a reader might find both educational and enjoyable. I had the manuscript written, in large part, before I learned of a contest that would include publishing assistance. I will forever be grateful to those who selected this book and taught me so many valuable lessons.

Memaw’s Maxims is a book that came as a labor of love, and evolved from years of my capturing the little sayings that my grandmother (we grandchildren called her Memaw) would use to add a touch of spice to her language and stories. Memaw was a teacher who served our rural part of Tennessee for decades, and her wisdom was given to literally thousands of kids over the years. This book includes humor, thoughtfulness, and practical thought, along with a touch of religion. One of the highest compliments that I hear about this book is when someone says that it sounds just like their grandmother.
